For the project The Dock by Scandic in Tromsø, Roootz developed a special edition of the Roootz Traveler luggage rack on behalf of Hotel Concept AS. The hotel was looking for a rack that would align closely with the interior design and be instantly recognizable within the room. This led to a custom version in a striking yellow RAL color, combined with brown leather straps. The included wall hooks are finished with black leather, allowing the luggage rack to be stored neatly without compromising the overall look.

Striking Color Choice

The distinctive color gives the luggage rack a clear presence within the room. It is no longer a detail that blends into the background, but a deliberate part of the design. Many hotel interiors rely on neutral tones and calm materials; a strong accent such as this yellow luggage rack introduces a vivid visual moment without disrupting the balance of the space. At the same time, its function remains fully intact: the rack is sturdy, easy to use, and suitable for daily hotel operations.

Based on the Roootz Traveler Luggage Rack

This luggage rack special ik based on the Roootz Traveler luggage rack, which is normally produced in black. Because the construction is well suited for customization, the color finish could be tailored precisely to the requirements of the project in Tromsø. The brown leather straps create a subtle contrast with the steel frame and give the product a refined look. By supplying wall hooks as well, hotels gain a practical solution for keeping rooms organized and tidy. The luggage rack can be displayed prominently or stored more discreetly, depending on the chosen placement.

A Luggage Rack as an Eye-Catcher

This project demonstrates that a luggage rack can contribute far more than is often assumed. In many hotel rooms it is simply seen as a functional item, while in reality it offers an opportunity to add character. A well-designed luggage rack can support the overall room concept, reinforce the interior design, and elevate the professional appearance of the space. For architects and designers, it opens up the possibility of extending design choices into even the smaller elements.

With this special edition for The Dock by Scandic, Roootz shows that customization can be a valuable addition to hotel projects. By closely aligning with the project vision and the practical demands of the hospitality sector, luggage racks can become a visible and intentional part of the interior rather than an anonymous accessory. Roootz continues to support hotels, architects, and project designers in creating rooms enriched with products that reflect their own style and expectations.
